Angel Haze makes 25 under 25

Angel Haze is a 21 year old Rapper from Detroit Michigan

Her Resume So Far: Angel Haze's name and small frame might lead one to wrongly expect something lighter than the style the Michigan native is known for. One listen to any track off her various mixtapes and you'll realize the ease with which she delivers line after line of preconception destroying rhymes is alarming in the best possible way. Which is probably why she showed up on the year-end lists of everything from the BBC to MTV to Pitchfork.

What's Next: Like most of the other musicians on this list, the world is waiting to see what Angel Haze can do with a full album at her disposal.

Angel Haze released her EP Reservation for free online in July 2012. In 2012, she took part in the BET Hip-Hop Award's Cypher. She was also featured on Funk Volume artist Dizzy Wright's mixtape SmokeOut Conversations, on the remix track for "Can't Trust Em". The song also featured newFunk Volume artist Jarren Benton. On her 2012 mixtape Classick, she recorded a version of Eminem’s song, "Cleanin' Out My Closet". Earbuddy's John Downey wrote, "Haze’s take on Slim Shady’s classic tune might be the superior product."[6] It was announced that Universal Republic Records was going defunct, making artists including Haze to move from its roster to the revived Republic Records.
