Mental strength isn't becoming so tough that nothing affects you. That's emotional shutdown, not strength. Real resilience means you can feel deeply without letting every feeling drive the car. You can be disappointed and still move forward. You can set a boundary without becoming bitter. You can forgive someone without giving them the same access. You can care about people without carrying their problems as your own. Your softness doesn't make you weak, and your boundaries don't make you cold. The goal isn't to build walls around your heart. It's to build enough self-trust that you know when to open the door and when to close it.
Sheena Says:
“Being strong doesn't mean hardening your heart; it means strengthening your boundaries.”
