Stop Borrowing Other People's Limits

You don't have to inherit someone else's fear and call it wisdom. Maybe someone told you that your dream was unrealistic, your body wasn't the right type, your age was a disadvantage, or people like you don't do certain things. Sometimes the limits you carry aren't even yours they were handed to you by family, friends, culture, relationships, or people who were afraid to take their own leap. Listen to advice, but don't automatically turn someone else's experience into your destiny. Their ceiling doesn't have to become yours. You get to investigate what is actually possible for you. Confidence grows when you stop asking, “Can I?” through someone else's lens and start asking, “What happens if I try?”
