Your body shouldn't have to reach a certain size before you decide it deserves kindness. You don't have to lose weight before buying clothes you love. You don't have to reach your fitness goal before enjoying movement. You don't have to look “better” before nourishing yourself, resting, moisturizing, stretching or taking yourself somewhere beautiful. Care isn't a reward for finally becoming acceptable. Care is part of how you become healthier, stronger and more connected to yourself. Give your body water. Give it rest. Give it movement. Give it nourishment. Give it clothing that makes you feel confident today not someday. You can have goals for your body without making today's body the enemy. Respect first. Care consistently. Change intentionally. That's a much healthier foundation for feeling good in your own skin.
